Members of staff from Mishon Mackay, alongside the Friends of Hove Park came with their gloves and bin bags at the ready to help clean up Hove Park. The weather was perfect and we all collected a bag of rubbish each.

The Friends was started in 2013 and aims to improve the park, as well as protect and preserve it. That’s why litter picking is one of the vital activities that must take place, especially as summer is nearly upon us. The Friends organise litter pickings throughout the year so keep an eye out for the next one.

Alan Moon, Chair of the Friends of Hove Park, said: “The gardening team have expressed their thanks to all the volunteers who came along with the Friends of Hove Park to help litter pick Hove Park, especially the perimeter areas that tend to get neglected. It is a great way for the local community to get involved and the Friends look forward to everyone working together on future events.”
