Today we meet Holly Harris, who supports sales in our Hove Office. Holly has worked in property for over ten years. Although “in real life” Holly is a qualified florist, she has kept a few strings in a bow dedicated to property and splits her time between flowers and Mishon Mackay. Holly is the viewings coordinator and enjoys guiding potential buyers through the process of finding their dream home. Holly also oversees some of the valuation tracking and canvassing around Hove. She contacts potential vendors and helps market the Mishon Mackay brand.
What do you love most about property?
I love the history, charm and experience that can be found by viewing different addresses throughout Brighton and Hove. It is such a privilege to be able to show people round properties of all shapes, sizes, ages and locations. I often say to buyers, some places you would not even know existed if you hadn’t decided to move!
How did you get started in property?
I lived in London for three years and was offered a job as a letting agent in South Kensington. I guess this is where my intrigue for different types of property and locations started. Some of the flats and houses I had to let out were unreal! I then moved back to Brighton to study Floristry (long story) but wanted to ”keep one foot in the door” with estate agency and was recommended Mishon Mackay. I have since been part of the team in the same office (bar two weeks in Hurstpierpoint) for the last seven years.
Where and what would be your dream property?
Call me a homebody but I’d have to say in Brighton or Hove. I just think it is such a privilege, no matter your address, to be able to live near the sea. It is actually one of the things I missed most about Brighton when I lived in London. I guess my dream home would be located on one of the roads leading down to the seafront or somewhere with views of the coast. The house itself would need to be somewhere with character, a nice feel, big enough for my family and space for a few cool parties too!
