Our Land and New Homes team have noticed in the last few weeks that there has been an increase in activity in the market, with more people registering to buy compared to earlier in the year. The team have exceeded expectations on reservations – especially with developments new to the market – since the beginning of the year.
Julie Frith, New Homes Director, said: “It seems people are getting tired of waiting around for a Brexit outcome – everyone still needs a home to live in whether or not we wait for Brexit. There’s also other factors that are helping to get people on the property ladder such as the government’s Help to Buy scheme.”
There’s lots of great reasons to live in Brighton, Hove and the surrounding areas: excellent commuter links to London, great schools, good public transport, fantastic restaurants and the best of both worlds with the countryside and especially the beach on your doorstep.
Julie said: “We’ve noticed a big increase, particularly in buyers aged 30+ from London, so it’s safe to say that the property market is certainly bouncing back here in the south east.”
