“August can often be a slow month in the residential sales market, with the kids being on holiday and so many people away on their travels. But this year has produced some pleasant surprises.
“Our residential offices have reported an uplift in activity across the board in August. This is really good news for us as a business. We have worked hard as a company over recent months to ensure that our clients are well briefed and informed about the realities of the property market. Whilst we have uncertainty – whatever form that may take – the property market will be tough.
“We have offered good advice to our clients looking to sell regarding marketing and pricing. To be honest, it’s not rocket science – if you ask too much, you are not going to sell. If you ask the right price and have a good marketing proposal from your agent, you will generate interest. This in turn will generate an offer and the process is underway.”
