The Spice Girls famously sang about when two became one, but Mishon Mackay in Hove could alter those lyrics to when two became three. We were delighted to demonstrate earlier in the year that two neighbouring properties in Goldstone Villas, a hugely popular road in central Hove, had gone under offer within days of each other. As a further demonstration of how the market is continuing to get back to where it should be the Hove office has now agreed a sale on a third property just a few doors away from the first two. Thus, if you walk down the road from Hove Station you will now see three Mishon Mackay “SOLD” boards in very close proximity.

Since we returned after Christmas the activity levels have improved week on week, increased numbers of buyers registering, increased numbers of viewings being booked and buyers making much quicker decisions than they were last year. Another good example of this is a house on Goldstone Crescent that had previously been marketed during 2019 with a different agent but that was relaunched by Mishon Mackay in Hove in February. The ensuing open day resulted in 37 viewings taking place and three offers being received.

In further support of an improving market, our office here in Hove has received 45 offers over the last 10 weeks.

Let’s hope that we aren’t thrown off track by any curve balls from the forthcoming budget, or that the current concern about Covid 19 doesn’t set us back. Meantime, the numbers and levels of enquiries have been more than encouraging and suggest a renewed confidence, post Brexit, that will put a spring in all our steps – both for local businesses and residents alike.
