There’s something about the process of a successful sale that elicits pride, confidence, and a love for our profession. As a stunning example of a period property recently renovated to a stylish finish with kerb appeal, we knew that Granville Road was something special from the moment we arrived to undertake our valuation.
Having created extensive marketing for this property, including an exquisite brochure displaying the best elements of the home (take a look at that kitchen), the property never actually made it to our website or the portals, as Glenn Erdman, Senior Sales Negotiator at our Brighton office, had the perfect buyer in mind from the start.




Here’s the full story in Glenn’s own words…
“I valued this beautiful two-bedroom, ground floor garden flat on Granville Road in July 2020 and met the lovely owners there. Their passion and eye for design had me at ‘hello’. After a delicious but extremely strong espresso made by Stephanie, I was ready to sell their home. They bought the property 18 months prior as a one-bedroom flat with the intention of staying but had decided they wanted to move out of the area and be closer to family.
Walking around, it was clear this home really was something unique and had been totally refurbished to a fantastic standard, but there was a ceiling limit on the road at around the £450,000 figure. This did not work for the vendors as they had stretched themselves a tad with the refurbishment.
I came back to them quickly as I knew a chap locally in my village who was looking for something special and asked if I could show him the property – they agreed.
After lengthy negotiations we ended up with a figure £35,000 above my suggested marketing price and have exchanged on this sale within 6 weeks of the offer being made.”
With both the sellers and buyers over the moon at the result of the sale, we had the great pleasure to congratulate them both.
