Jay Melton-Ball | Lettings Director

With more than 12 years experience in the property industry, first starting his career in our residential sales team, Jay is now Lettings Director at Mishon Mackay and holds his Level 3 ARLA nfopp technical award.

Dealing directly with landlords and applicants, Jay`s knowledge of the local lettings market is second-to-none. With legislation continually developing, Jay prides himself on keeping landlords up-to-date and furthering his own knowledge to provide the best service to all clients.

James McCartney | Valuations Manager

James has been with Mishon Mackay for over two years and plays a key role within the lettings team. He has been involved in the property industry for the last six years, starting off in sales and moving into lettings and he has quickly found his feet amongst the team. Living locally gives James lots of key knowledge about areas for when a client is looking to buy an investment or a tenant is moving to a new location. His role is to work closely with both landlords and tenants to ensure that both parties have a stress free experience when finding their next tenant or property. In his spare time James likes to spend time with his friends and family, travelling to new places, and he is also a keen football fan.

Declan Brewster | Senior Lettings Negotiator

Declan has previously worked for a local customer service based company. He wanted to use the skills he developed over many years with his love for property and combine the two. His role day to day is carrying out the majority of viewings and dealing with negotiating new tenancies and keeping landlords up to date with viewing feedback. Declan in his spare time enjoys online gaming with friends and playing football.

Alex May | Lettings Coordinator

Alex has always had an interest for the property market. He has highlighted showing prospective tenants around properties as his favourite part of the role. Alex has lived in Sussex for most of his life and is always on the lookout for the perfect house. As a relatively newcomer to the industry, he is focusing on obtaining his professional qualifications. In his spare time he likes to travel and play hockey.

Theresa Paterson | Senior Administrator

Theresa joined Mishon Mackay after relocating to Brighton from London in 2006. Since then, she has proved invaluable in keeping our busy Lettings office running smoothly and efficiently. This is thanks to her impressive skill set and her diverse background, which includes both construction and IT, making her skills particularly suited for administration in property and estate management. Today she says that the best part of the job is getting a first-hand glimpse of all of the beautiful period properties that Brighton has to offer.

Jordan Tupper | Lettings Director

As the Director of our busy Lettings department, Jordan focuses on ensuring our property management and accounts team deliver the highest level of service to our landlords and tenants, ensuring all staff are up to date with ever changing legislation and providing knowledgeable support to all their landlords and tenants. She is fully Level 3 ARLA qualified and has more than 10 years· experience in the property industry and extensive experience in the private lettings sector from referencing, all elements of property maintenance, property inspections and end of tenancy negotiations. Jordan dedicates herself to delivering a professional and timely service.

Sarah Brown | Senior Property Manager

Sarah joined the Property Management team in 2021 and has been thriving ever since, her previous position as a Property Consultant means she has a wealth of experience and brings with her keen organisation and problem solving skills, along with her fantastic customer service. She intends to bring both landlords and tenant’s timely and desired resolutions to problems that arise all whilst supporting her team and providing support to our clients in any way possible.

Claire Kelly | Property Manager

Claire joined our team during the Covid-19 pandemic with a wide knowledge of customer service experience. She deliveries a supportive role within the team, dealing with a wide range of enquiries and maintenance.  Claire’s focused on delivering a high level of customer service to our clients, she takes responsibility for a number of the legal compliance elements of the property management team, as well as conducting our property visits to ensure our landlords properties are being well looked after.

Sophie Horne | Property Manager

Sophie joined the property management team in 2022. Having over 15 years’ experience in lettings and property management Sophie aims to resolve maintenance issues calmly and effectively for both landlord and tenants as well as supporting those moving into new properties during the referencing and moving in process.

Lauryn Keller | Property Manager

Lauryn has recently started working in the property market, having left the hospitality sector in earl 2023. She began by working in the Student Lettings industry with a focus on property maintenance. She joined the Mishon Mackay team in October 2023 and has so far enjoyed building upon her skills gained in both hospitality and student lettings in a new environment. She strives to provide the best customer service experience she can for all clients.
