A message from Macmillian

A massive congratulations to the staff at Mishon Mackay for the incredible fundraising efforts around coffee morning, raising £463.58 which is a fantastic amount and will go directly to those affected by cancer locally. This money wouldn’t have rolled in without all the hard work and passion of you all, thank you. To give you an idea of how this might make a difference it would pay for 18 hours of a clinical nurse specialist dealing with many patients with cancer. The difference a Macmillan nurse makes to them is immeasurable. You’re all stars, thank you for supporting us. For more information about what we’re doing locally please look at the Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre that we’re building in Brighton as we speak! Still £500k to go to complete it by next Summer. The aim is that this will provide the bridge in the care for anyone affected by cancer in Sussex, as sadly 1 in 2 are affected and 1 in 4 are alone in their fight. Sussex has some of the highest cancer rate in the country and some of the least services – no one should face cancer alone. If you were keen to visit the site and meet the project team please drop me a line, I’d be happy to arrange it. Thanks again, Sarah Sussex Fundraising ManagerCoffee
