Fundraising success at our annual quiz
Friday 13th might be unlucky for some, but it definitely wasn’t for us! We were joined by 47 teams at the Grand Hotel in Brighton for some quizzing fun, all in aid of The Clock Tower Sanctuary, a charity dedicated to providing a helping hand to homeless young people.
This year’s event was particularly special as we celebrate our 30th birthday! The icing on the birthday cake, though, was that we raised an impressive £2,200 for one of our favourite Brighton-based charities. We’re delighted that we raised so much for such a worthwhile cause! Clocktower’s CEO, Frances Duncan, shared her words of thanks, saying:
“We can’t thank Mishon Mackay enough for their continued support towards our work helping Brighton’s young and homeless. Thank you to all those who came along on the night and helped raise such an incredible amount! The money will do some truly brilliant work.”
Our friends at Sussex Mortgage Services were quick to lend a hand and sponsored the event, and we were joined by local celebrity, Heart’s very own Jack the Lad who acted as host and quizmaster. Capital FM’s Mike Panteli was also on hand to provide music and entertainment.
If all that wasn’t enough, we also had some fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs – a 5-star holiday to Portugal, a £100 voucher for the Gingerman restaurants and two tickets for the i360 were top of the list!
Our very own MD, Alex Mackay, summed up how thrilled we are with this year’s quiz and our worthy cause in one:
“Thank you to everyone who came to our quiz, we are so grateful for your continued support. The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a fantastic charity that provides a vital service in our city. Thanks, too, to everyone who donated raffle prizes – it was a great evening.”
