Today, we meet Tina Templeman, Branch Director of our Rottingdean office. Tina has been working in the Brighton and Hove area in property for 18 years with 13 of those at Mishon Mackay. Tina started her career at Your Move in Hove as a temporary summer employee covering for staff who were on holiday. By the end of the summer Tina had got the ‘property bug’ and had changed her plans of going to university in favour of a career in property. With a Diploma in Residential Estate Agency from the National Federation of Property Professionals and having been elected President of Brighton & Hove Estate Agent Association this year she feels passionately about raising and ensuring high standards of the local industry.

Over the years Tina has worked in various aspects of property, from working as a letting agent and property manager in her early career to working with one of our founding partners Glenn Mishon on Land sales in our New Homes department. Tina has enjoyed marketing new homes, running our Kemp Town office for six years and is now in our Rottingdean office as Branch Director. Tina has also been integral to continuing the Mishon Mackay ethos of working closely with local communities and fundraising for local charities and can often be found at one of our charity events or helping one of our community partners with their events.

What do you love most about Property?

Still after all these years I get a real sense of joy when I hand over the keys to a new home owner or make the call to a seller to say the exchange or completion has happened. I get to help people through a huge life event and often spend around six months guiding and advising them towards a positive end. It is not always easy, but it is worth it when you get them over the line.

What is your favourite thing about working at Mishon Mackay?

I feel very honoured to work with property professionals who I consider to be some of the best in the area. I also love how Mishon Mackay ensures they give a little back to the community through fundraising and supporting local schools and events. It’s lovely that they allow me a platform to do that too.

Tell us about your dream home

Honestly, I don’t really have a dream home style. I live in a Grade I listed apartment in the centre of Brighton & Hove now and love being in such a vibrant location. I would love to have a few homes – perhaps a country pad with some animals and a home abroad to spend the winters, eventually!

Share your favourite place in Sussex with us

This is a tricky question. I love the Arlington Bluebell Woods – it’s such a peaceful location and stunning in April and May when the bluebells come out. But I think my favourite place has to be Brighton itself. Its cosmopolitan vibe, inclusive community and fun spirit is hard to deny. I only have to walk or cycle along the promenade on a summer’s evening to get swept up in the happy vibe that it exudes.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

I think that would have to be south east Asia. I spend a lot of time there and have a very close friend who lives in Thailand. I got married there too so it holds a special feeling for me.

Tina continues to strive to provide exceptional service for her clients in Rottingdean and through her work as 2018 President of Brighton & Hove Estate Agents Association. She has a real desire to raise the standards of the profession in our city. You can call Tina on 01273 944812, email her at or pop into our Rottingdean office for a cup of tea or coffee to catch up.
